Sometimes you don’t need the full amount of an invoice — just a portion of it to smooth out cashflow. Fundtap makes it easy to request partial funding so you can stay in control and only draw what you need.
This short guide explains how partial funding works and how to request it when submitting an invoice.
By default, Fundtap is set up to automatically fund up to 90% of any selected invoice — as long as it's within your approved facility limit.
But if you don’t want or need that full amount, you can request a smaller drawdown on any individual invoice.
Log in to your Fundtap account
Select the invoice you want to fund
Look for the “Customer Comments” section
This appears next to each invoice that is eligible for submission
Enter the exact amount you’d like funded
Add a note clearly stating the partial amount you're requesting
Example: “Please fund $2,500 of this $5,000 invoice”
Once submitted, the Fundtap team will review your request and process the funding based on your instructions.
You can only request partial funding up to 90% of the invoice value
Partial requests must be made at the time of submission
Fees are still based on the funded amount and duration — not the full invoice
This feature gives you extra flexibility without overcommitting or drawing more than you need.
