Invoice Due Dates and Funding Eligibility Explained

Why was my invoice not funded?

FundTap funds invoices that are due within 60 days. In some cases, an exemption can be granted for invoices due up to 90 days, if there is an approved reason. Overdue invoices are not typically funded.

What invoice due dates are eligible for funding?

Invoices with a due date within 60 days can be processed right away. If an invoice has a due date beyond 60 days, it may still be considered only if an exemption is approved, up to 90 days.

What happens if an invoice is already overdue?

FundTap does not typically fund invoices that are already overdue. The funding service is designed to bridge the gap between sending an invoice and receiving payment.

Why might an invoice be declined even if the due date is acceptable?

An invoice may also be declined if:

  • there is an overdue balance on the account
  • the facility limit would be exceeded
  • the invoice does not meet other approval requirements

What should I do if my invoice is declined because of the due date?

  1. Check whether the invoice due date is within 60 days.
  2. If the invoice is due beyond 60 days, request an exemption up to 90 days by emailing info@fundtap.co.
  3. Submit a different invoice with a due date within 60 days.

What type of invoice support does FundTap provide?

FundTap provides a service that bridges the gap between when you send an invoice and when your client pays. In the example given, payment is made immediately when the invoice is issued, and the amount is later direct debited when the client settles the invoice.
