When a company is part of your application
When completing Finalise Your Account an additional step appears when a company is part of your application, either because a company owns the property you told us about, or because a company holds 25% or more of your business.
You get one step for each company, named after that company.
What we need
The directors of that company, and any of its shareholders who hold 25% or more. For each person: legal first and last name, an email address and a mobile number.
Troubleshooting
Why are you being asked about another company?
Anti-money-laundering rules require us to identify the people who ultimately own or control a business. When a company sits between you and the property or the shareholding, we have to look through it to the people behind it.
The company name at the top is wrong and you cannot edit it
That field is filled in from what you entered earlier and is locked here. If available, go back to the step where you named the company (Property Details), or the shareholder in People In The Business and correct it there. This step updates to match.
You have two of these steps
Expected if two different companies are involved, for example one that owns the property and another that holds shares. Each needs its own details. Two shareholdings through the same company give you one step, not two.
The company is dormant or a shelf company
Fill it in anyway. We still need its directors on record.
The company has no shareholders at 25% or more
Leave the shareholder section empty and add the directors. Below 25%, we do not need them listed.
You are not a director of that company and do not have the details
You will need to ask someone who does. If the company is not really connected to your business, contact us info@fundtap.co.
