The story in short
- 7 invoices funded since November 2025, each on its own day
- 5 of those 7 invoices were funded in the last 6 months
- 6 of 11 months used since their first funded invoice
- 2 invoices funded in August 2026, their busiest month
The gap
When they signed up in November 2025, a lot of money was tied up in unpaid invoices, with wages and tax due that week. The clients weren’t the worry. The timing was.
A large overseas client had slowed down because of delays in international transfers, and the commercial developers can be slower still.
“...some of the risky developers, they just simply put their checkbooks away until they get resource consent.”
From a call with the FundTap team, November 2025
How they use FundTap
Their first funded invoice was in November 2025. They came back through 2026 for the invoices that were slow to land, funding six across five months, with August the busiest at two.
Five of the seven invoices came in the last six months, each on its own day. Their clients, the overseas one included, are never contacted.

What’s changed
Wages and tax no longer have to wait on the slowest client. The practice funds the specific invoices that are stuck and lets everything else take as long as it takes.
In a public review, the customer described the service as very professional.
Sound like your business?
Good clients can still pay late. If wages and tax fall due before a big invoice lands, that’s the invoice to fund.
Fund a specific invoice when the timing doesn’t work. Pay nothing when it does.
