The story in short
- 5 invoices funded since February 2024
- 4 of them in 2024
- 1 increase to their funding limit
The gap
This is a one-person painting business. The insurance jobs carry long payment terms, so invoices can sit unpaid well past the end of the month.
The owner’s own bills don’t work to those terms. One month the owner needed money in before the end-of-month bills, with invoices out that wouldn’t be paid in time.
How they use FundTap
They signed up in April 2023 and funded their first invoice in February 2024. They fund an individual invoice when the insurer’s payment will land after the bills do. Insurers pay as normal, and FundTap never contacts them.
Five invoices have been funded in all, four in 2024 and one in January 2025. August 2024 was the busiest month, with two.

What’s changed
The funding limit was raised once. The owner has since moved overseas for a salaried job, and has referred painter friends to FundTap.
“...I’ve had payees that have got long payment terms and it didn’t fit with my business payments and all that, so it’s really helped me big time.”
From a call with the FundTap team, October 2025
