The story in short
- 38 invoices funded since joining in July 2024
- 11 of 26 months they’ve used FundTap since their first funded invoice
- 27 invoices funded in 2025, their busiest year
- 3 invoices funded this year, all in August 2026
The gap
Most jobs are invoiced on short terms, so the money normally comes back quickly. A few customers are on standard trade terms, and those invoices take longer.
Winter is where the gap opens: some clients take longer than normal to pay, and the business’s own bills don’t slow down with them.
How they use FundTap
They joined in July 2024 and funded their first invoice the next month. Since then they’ve funded 38 invoices in 14 batches, spread across 11 of the 26 months. The funding limit has been raised once.
They pick the invoices worth funding and leave the rest to pay on their own. Clients still pay the business as normal, and aren’t contacted.

What’s changed
Their busiest year was 2025, with 27 invoices funded, seven of them in January. This year they’ve funded three invoices, all in August 2026, which is the winter patch they expected to need it for.
That’s the arrangement they wanted: FundTap in the background, used for a few invoices when payments run slow.
