Carting rubbish to the landfill
The business works in the waste industry around Auckland, running its own truck. It transports rubbish to landfill for its customers.
The customers are invoiced for the loads and pay on terms. The truck’s costs come first: fuel for the trips to the tip, and the maintenance a truck on that kind of work needs.
The truck’s bills land first
Fuel goes in before the load goes out, and maintenance can’t wait for an invoice to be paid.
When they signed up in January 2025, the owner told the FundTap team the business was growing and the funding was for fuel and maintenance, to keep the truck working for its customers while it waited to be paid.
The truck is the business. Keeping it fuelled and running is what keeps the customers served.
Funding a cartage invoice
Their broker introduced them to FundTap. They signed up in January 2025 and funded their first invoice in March 2025.
They pick the invoice to fund and see the fee before committing. Their customers settle with the business the way they did before.
The truck stays on the road
With an invoice funded, the fuel and the maintenance are paid from the work the truck has already done, not from money that’s still on its way. The truck keeps running and the customers keep getting their rubbish moved.
Their funding limit was raised in August 2025. They funded 10 invoices in 2025 and nine in 2026 to September, 19 in all, with the most recent two in September 2026.
Which invoices go through is up to them, and they pay only on the ones they fund.
In a public review, the owner said the FundTap team were very helpful and the experience had been excellent.
