The story in short
- 8 invoices funded since June 2024
- 7 different months they’ve used FundTap
- 2 invoices funded in January 2025, their busiest month
The gap
This builder splits their time between their own jobs and occasional subcontract work for a group home builder. The group builder pays on the 20th of the following month.
Most months that’s fine. When it isn’t, the next job’s costs fall due before the 20th.
How they use FundTap
They set up their account in October 2022 and didn’t fund anything until June 2024. Since then they’ve funded an invoice when the 20th is too far off. The group builder pays as normal, and FundTap never contacts it.
Five invoices were funded in 2024 and three in 2025, across seven months in all. January 2025 was the busiest, with two.

What’s changed
The account was set up well before it was needed. Using it in June 2024 meant funding an invoice, not starting from scratch. Across eight invoices, the group builder’s 20th has stopped being the owner’s deadline.
In a public review, the owner called the team helpful and approachable, and said it was a good way to release cashflow.
Sound like your business?
Subcontracting means someone else sets the payment date. If that’s the 20th of next month, FundTap funds the invoice so your costs aren’t waiting.
