The story in short
- 131 invoices funded since January 2023
- 41 of 45 months used since their first funded invoice
- 6 increases to their funding limit
- 19 invoices funded in the last 6 months
The gap
Most of their money lands during the school year, and the holiday programmes are paid by government on long cycles. Neither lines up with when wages are due.
Christmas has always been the tight stretch, because school-year income has stopped but wages and holiday pay haven’t. When they signed up, a new work-experience venture for their students was adding set-up costs on top.
How they use FundTap
Since January 2023 they’ve funded 131 invoices, on 108 different funding days. They’ve used FundTap in 41 of the 45 months since their first invoice.
The busiest year was 2024, with 47 invoices, and June 2024 was the busiest month at eight. Since then the pace has settled, with 36 invoices in 2025 and 28 so far in 2026. In the last six months alone they’ve funded 19, using FundTap in every one of those six months. Their funding limit has been raised six times, and the schools and agencies that pay them are never contacted.

What’s changed
Three years on, FundTap is built into how the year runs. The agencies and schools still pay on their own schedule, but wages no longer have to wait for it.
Sound like your business?
Guaranteed income on a slow cycle still leaves wages due on a faster schedule. Fund the invoices that fall on the wrong side of the calendar, and pay the team on time.
Fund a specific invoice when the timing doesn’t work. Pay nothing when it does.
