The story in short
- 16 invoices funded since December 2025
- 4 of them funded in December 2025, the month they joined
- 7 of 10 months they’ve used FundTap since joining
The gap
The business wraps large buildings and machinery to keep the weather off. Its biggest jobs get invoiced only once the work is finished.
In December 2025 one of those jobs ran across the Christmas break. Getting busy was good news, but the crew still had to be paid through it. A job that finishes late in the month rolls into the next one, and the payment rolls with it.
“...while getting busy during the Christmas break, usually I’d say it’s a good thing, but from a cashflow perspective, it’s a headache.”
From a call with the FundTap team, December 2025
How they use FundTap
The owner invoices from a spreadsheet template, then funds the invoice once the job is finished. FundTap doesn’t contact the customer, who pays on their usual terms.
At the start the owner expected to use it from time to time on bigger jobs. In practice seven of the 10 months since have included a funded invoice, starting with four in December 2025.
Invoices funded each month, as a table
| Month | Invoices funded |
|---|---|
| December 2025 | 4 |
| January 2026 | 2 |
| February 2026 | 4 |
| March 2026 | 2 |
| April 2026 | 1 |
| May 2026 | 1 |
| June 2026 | 2 |
| July 2026 | 0 |
| August 2026 | 0 |
| September 2026 | 0 |
“...I will need this from time to time on bigger jobs, but it all depends on how things go.”

What’s changed
Jobs that finish late in the month still roll into the next one. The cash doesn’t have to roll with them any more. Across 16 invoices in 10 months, that has become routine.
