Think Resourcing: contractors to pay before the invoices clear

Think Resourcing is a Brisbane resourcing company placing highly skilled IT contractors in healthcare, both private and government. Contractors are paid on time every time. Client invoices are not always paid that way.

The gap

In labour hire, the business pays its people before the client pays the business. That is the whole cash gap.

Director Karen van Huffel first spoke to FundTap in May 2022. By March 2023 the gap was real: a major client had overhauled its finance processes and payments were running late. Think Resourcing was first funded that month.

As the business has grown, so has the gap. In July 2026 Karen asked for more headroom because of new staffing commitments she needed to fund before invoices were paid.

How they use it

Think Resourcing doesn't use FundTap all the time. Late in 2023 Karen told the team she didn't need funding for now. In May 2025 she came back, and since January 2026 she has funded invoices most months, 15 times so far this year.

She manages it herself through the dashboard, including moving repayment dates. In July 2026 she asked to repay an invoice early.
