Trigga Seal: a facility in place before the next big invoice

Trigga Seal is a Queensland subcontractor doing fire-rated, polyurethane and silicone joint sealing on commercial and industrial construction projects. Managing director Matthew Stewart set up invoice finance before he was under pressure, not after.

The gap

Specialist trades on commercial jobs do the work first and invoice the builder after. Until the builder pays, wages and materials come out of the subcontractor's own pocket.

When Matthew first called FundTap, one of his questions was what happens if a client pays late. He wasn't short of cash that week. He wanted to know the option was there for when he was.

How they use it

Matthew called on 1 October 2026 to ask whether Trigga Seal would qualify, then signed up online and connected Xero. He talked it through with James Le Brun the next day.

The credit team finished its review on Monday 5 October. Trigga Seal was pre-approved that morning, Matthew signed the paperwork, and the first invoice was funded that afternoon. The next day he emailed to say thanks, and asked whether his second business could be set up too.
