Allied Civil Earthworks is an Auckland civil contractor doing drainage, concrete works, retaining walls and excavation. Most of its clients pay on the 20th of the following month, or on the 30th, so the work is finished well before the money arrives.
Civil work is front-loaded. Crews, machinery, fuel and materials are paid for while the job is under way. The invoice goes out after.
For Allied Civil Earthworks, director Jason Wilson says most clients pay on the 20th of the following month or on the 30th of each month. Work done early in a month can sit unpaid for six weeks or more.
One of his main clients invoices fortnightly and pays sooner, and Jason says that is the client he prefers working for.
Jason signed up on the morning of 5 October 2026 and connected MYOB two minutes later. He spoke with James Le Brun at FundTap about the invoice he wanted funded and how his clients pay.
He was pre-approved that afternoon, set up his direct debit, and his first invoice was funded soon after. The repayment date is 20 October 2026, in line with the 20th-of-the-month terms most of his clients pay on. Once approved, funded within 2 hours.
“My invoicing for most clients is based either on the 20th of the following month or the 30th of each month”
Jason Wilson, Director, email to FundTap, 5 October 2026
Work done, invoice out, and the money arrives on someone else's timetable. That's the gap FundTap was built for.
Connect Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or Reckon, choose an invoice and see the fee before you confirm. Once approved, funded within 2 hours. It costs nothing while it sits there.
